Exodus 29:22-26(NIV) “Take from this ram the fat, the fat tail, the fat on the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, both kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh. (This is the ram for the ordination.) From the basket of bread made without yeast, which is before the Lord, take one round loaf, one thick loaf with olive oil mixed in, and one thin loaf. Put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and have them wave them before the Lord as a wave offering. Then take them from their hands and burn them on the altar along with the burnt offering for a pleasing aroma to the Lord, a food offering presented to the Lord. After you take the breast of the ram for Aaron’s ordination, wave it before the Lord as a wave offering, and it will be your share
For next part of the ceremony the priests had their hands filled.. Certain parts of the ram were taken, and “one round loaf, one thick loaf with olive oil mixed in, and one thin loaf out of the basket of unleavened bread, which is before the Lord,” and all these were put into the hands of Aaron and his sons.. so that they stood with their hands full before the Lord..
What does this mean for me and you as a worshiper..?
Will the Lord leave you empty-handed? No, He gives you something to offer.. allows you a part of the peace offering to fill your hands—and this you present before Him as a wave offering.. It is a blessed thing to stand before God with your hands full of Christ!..May God help us not to come to Him empty Handed brethren!! How idle it is for us to stand before God with nothing to offer! And if we have not Jesus, we have nothing, or worse than nothing! ..
Thank you Jesus..for your love beyond measure..
We cannot act as priests before God with empty hands.. Has He given us wealth..let us give willingly.. Do we have time, talent,? let us consecrate them all, and come with those possessions which Jesus has lent us..the priests had to wave their pleasant burden to and fro..May God help us as His priests today ..to have our hands filled for the Glory of the Lord.. Lift it up your sacrifice to God in solemn consecration, and then let it be laid upon God’s altar, since for this purpose you were called to be a priest unto the Most High..
Glory to the Most High God..Hosanna in the Highest..Lord we worship and bow before your throne..Thank you for giving us a blueprint on how to worship you..
Exodus 29:27-28“Consecrate those parts of the ordination ram that belong to Aaron and his sons: the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented. This is always to be the perpetual share from the Israelites for Aaron and his sons. It is the contribution the Israelite are to make to the Lord from their fellowship offerings.
For the future both the breast and the right shoulder are to belong to the priests. The shoulder, moreover, is to be “heaved,” and only the breast “waved; …. heaving” being a single lifting up of the offering towards heaven, while” waving” was a repeated movement in a horizontal direction. Wave and heave offerings are always connected with the portions of the priests, or with things dedicated to God’s service..This had me thinking of how we handle the men of God..unatokelezea tu mkono mtupu..there are divine doors that open before us when in our worship..we bring a contribution for the servants at the alter..
And Last of all ..they sat down and feasted.. God had received His part in the burning of the victim on the altar—and now Aaron and his sons were to “eat those things with which the atonement was made.. you must be careful what you take into your soul, for according to what your food is, will your strength be..
We should fed daily upon Christ Jesus fills us completely and gives us a strength ..I know some good people who are very busy..uko busy sana..sometimes am busy too..Nairobi ni hustle.. I do not think many of us can afford to do without the regular hearing of the Word of God..and believe you me it is not easy..even for this bible marathon!..you will find opposition..it is a spiritual warfare..Call on Jesus to give you revelation..May the Holy Spirit teach and counsel us.. we must also sit at Jesus’ feet like Mary..How sweet it is to enjoy the food of God..
I know it is FURAHIDAY ..But remember the being a priest is for life!“Once a priest, always a priest,” is the rule in the priesthood to which we belong!.. Do not act, at any time, as if you were not priests.. Do not, I beseech you, dishonor your sacred character…that we should offer the sacrifice of prayer and praise continually..crying HOLY HOLY HOLY!! Every where the vows of God are upon us..We are a separated people and belong unto God alone!..What have you, now, to offer?..What will you render unto God for all His benefits towards you..as the week ends..Tutampa nini?
If God is God, and if you are His priests, serve Him..HII STORY YA PART TIME IISHE IN ROJ MINISTRY..Am also reminding my self that too..If you are not His ordained ones, then you live unto yourselves, and it will be well to know it!..Wacha msimamo wako ujulikane..Roho ya unafiki ishindwe..You either belong to christ or you dont! You are either a priest or Not!..And GOD KNOWS IT!..
Am trying my best not to apologize for the SHOUTY CAPITAL LETTER LOL ..Hiyo tu..
But if we are true men and women, I beseech you, by the mercies of God, let us present our bodies, our souls, our spirits unto God, which is but a reasonable service. When we have once and for all made the consecration, may God grant us divine grace continually to stand to it, and He shall have the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
God bless you all..have a blessed weekend..i love you all..as i told you as we do this bible study and act on it..it will be so easy for us to love one another honestly without malice..Also remember next week we are beginning our 40 Days of fasting..The Lord have confirmed it..by the end of that fast..our lives will never be the same again..for the Presence of God ROJ Church shall be with us..His Cloud by Day and Fire by Night..We are breaking forth..All the limitations are no more..WHY ?? Because we will worship in truth and in spirit as we have learnt in Exodus 29..
