Understanding Salvation

Through Christ all things came into existence John1:1-1. The point of understanding salvation begins where one realizes why and how they came to exist. To know the reason as to why you should live is not as important as knowing how you came into existence. This because how you came into existence has a clear definition of why you should live to the purpose of your creation.
Therefore, John 1:1- introduces us to our source of life or rather the initiator of our existence.
John 1:1-3
IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.(AMP).
Therefor we understand that we have the source of our existence and that is Jesus Christ. This being the base of who we are we can get into the question what is salvation?
Salvation is restoration to the initial purpose of creation. It is regaining the lost nature of man through the initiator of existence (Jesus).
But the question is what is my initial purpose that I may be restored to it?
Genesis 1:26
God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.(AMP)
The most important factor we need to understand is that initially God created a being in his own likeness. That is in terms of authority (dominion), being i.e. holiness, righteousness etc.
The answer to the question why I need to be restored is to regain your initial state (the likeness of God).
Hebrews 2:10
For it was an act worthy [of God] and fitting [to the divine nature] that He, for Whose sake and by Whom all things have their existence, in bringing many sons into glory, should make the Pioneer of their salvation perfect [should bring to maturity the human experience necessary to be perfectly equipped for His office as High Priest] through suffering.(AMP)
Since the fall of man God have made two covenants (the covenant through Moses and that made through Jesus Christ) all set to restore man and this is all out of love that He has for us. The first covenant did not restore man for as much as there was the remission of sin through the blood of the lamb sacrificed annually; man was still lost into sin. All this was a shadow of the things that were set to happen and has already happen through Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 10:1-12
FOR SINCE the Law has merely a rude outline (foreshadowing) of the good things to come–instead of fully expressing those things–it can never by offering the same sacrifices continually year after year make perfect those who approach [its altars]. For if it were otherwise, would [these sacrifices] not have stopped being offered? Since the worshipers had once for all been cleansed, they would no longer have any guilt or consciousness of sin. But [as it is] these sacrifices annually bring a fresh remembrance of sins [to be atoned for], because the blood of bulls and goats is powerless to take sins away. Hence, when He [Christ] entered into the world, He said, Sacrifices and offerings You have not desired, but instead You have made ready a body for Me [to offer]; In burnt offerings and sin offerings You have taken no delight. Then I said, Behold, here I am, coming to do Your will, O God–[to fulfill] what is written of Me in the volume of the Book. When He said just before, You have neither desired, nor have You taken delight in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings–all of which are offered according to the Law– He then went on to say, Behold, [here] I am, coming to do Your will. Thus He does away with and annuls the first (former) order [as a means of expiating sin] so that He might inaugurate and establish the second (latter) order. And in accordance with this will [of God], we have been made holy (consecrated and sanctified) through the offering made once for all of the body of Jesus Christ (the Anointed One). Furthermore, every [human] priest stands [at his altar of service] ministering daily, offering the same sacrifices over and over again, which never are able to strip [from every side of us] the sins [that envelop us] and take them away– Whereas this One [Christ], after He had offered a single sacrifice for our sins [that shall avail] for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,(AMP)
Confidence in the salvation through Christ Jesus.
God has the full understand of who we are for he has an access to every bit of our live.
He understands both mortal and the immortal being of us.
Hebrews 4:12-16
For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do. Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God; let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him]. For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].(AMP)

Who should receive salvation?
At the fall of man all were lost form God and therefore all are in a dire need of His salvation.
Romans 3:23 Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.(AMP)
In the current society we have a people that are in the world of self-salvation. This is a place where people accredit themselves by good works. Some say am a good person and sins not but I sure you unless you accept the saving grace of Christ you destined to perish with Satan and his angels but that is surely not Gods plan for you since he has laid His sons life that we all may be established in an everlasting kingdom.
Finally: Hebrews 2:1-4
SINCE ALL this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we have heard, lest in any way we drift past [them] and slip away. For if the message given through angels [the Law spoken by them to Moses] was authentic and proved sure, and every violation and disobedience received an appropriate (just and adequate) penalty, How shall we escape [appropriate retribution] if we neglect and refuse to pay attention to such a great salvation [as is now offered to us, letting it drift past us forever]? For it was declared at first by the Lord [Himself], and it was confirmed to us and proved to be real and genuine by those who personally heard [Him speak]. [Besides this evidence] it was also established and plainly endorsed by God, Who showed His approval of it by signs and wonders and various miraculous manifestations of [His] power and by imparting the gifts of the Holy Spirit [to the believers] according to His own will.(AMP)
